My day was pretty normal, all things considered. I did get the groceries I needed (and managed to spend less than my goal amount!). I also spent a couple of hours with my friends from drama, catching up and talking about our meeting with a potential music minister tonight (pray for that if you think of it…thanks!). Then I was on my own for most of the rest of the day. I wasn’t terribly focused on any one thing, but after dinner Karen stopped by to pick up some things and we chatted for awhile. Shortly after she left, Eric called to say that they were still in Hunstville, AL, instead of at the Columbus airport where they were supposed to be. Storms in Atlanta had forced them back to Huntsville, and they weren’t sure what they’d end up doing. So I told him to call me when they knew something and watched tv for a while. I read in bed until 11:00, and he hadn’t called. So I went to sleep. I was awakened by the garage door opening at 2:00 am, so the poor man had been traveling all that time. He’s still sleeping right now, and I’m not going to wake him up for anything!
Today I think I’ll do the laundry and tidying that I’ve been ignoring all week. Such fun!

Poor Eric. I hope he gets paid overtime for that!

I hope he doesn’t have to go to work today!

Well…he’s still not up yet…so I don’t think there’ll be much work getting done today if he goes in at all!

I have to say, Kyle’s done even better than I thought he would at home! I thought the first few weeks would be a lot harder than they have been for him!

That sounds like an even longer day than I had thought yesterday. Glad he gets to sleep in this morning!

Bummer that he got in so late. I thought about calling to ask if we could borrow the lawn mower tonight so Erik can mow while the rest of us are at church. But, I didn’t want to interrupt any welcoming home. Guess I wouldn’t have.
