So the weekend was pretty good.
My parents graciously came up on Friday night and watched our kids while we went the Good Friday service at church.
Saturday was an at-home day. Eric got lots of little chores done and started on his newly-decided-upon hobby (gardening) by building a seed starting set-up in the basement. We’re trying to start tomatoes and impatiens from seed. We’ll see how it goes. Actually, you can see, too. He set up an ip camera so he can monitor the progress from afar. If you’re curious, check it out here.
While he was working away at home, I went and got my hair cut. I actually changed styles, but I think I’m going to like it once the freshly-shorn-sheep look grows out a bit. I also exchanged some summer shirts my MIL had gotten for my birthday for some maternity shirts. I figured I would get more use out of those this summer, so it was worth it.
Then, after I got home, I did some work around the house, too. Mostly laundry and a little cleaning. But we did achieve a good bit of work on the house. Very nice!
Easter Sunday was spent in C-ville at my parents. We got up a bit early and drove down to go to church with my parents. The sermon was really nice – about the fact that Jesus showed up after his resurrection to hurting people and provided just what they needed at that moment. Good reminder!
We spent the afternoon with the entire fam. We had an Easter egg hunt with the kids. The twins figured that game out really fast. I have some fun pictures which I will try to post soon. We had a YUMMY ham dinner. And then we hung out. My mom, sister, SIL and I went for a walk while kids napped. We chatted, goofed off, played outside and had supper before heading home. Very nice day!
Of course, the babies were TIRED when we finally got home. And that was compounded by the lack of pooping we’d had going on for a day or two. (Don’t worry, I’m changing poopy diapers by the hour so far today. ) But we slept pretty well and now are starting this week just trying to get back to normal.
Happy Monday!
