I think we survived

Alex succumbed on Monday night (all between midnight and 6 a.m.).  Erin went down on Wednesday morning (starting at 6 a.m.).  Then it hit me around 8 in the morning.  By late afternoon, Eric was a goner, too.

The stomach flu.  So.not.fun.

And that means that I’ve spent the week cleaning up sheets and towels and clothes and floors.  And man, was my mom right…it is so not fun to be the mom when you’re sick, too!

But, after Eric’s “events” subsided about 9:30 last night, we seem to have passed the worst of it.  And Megan hasn’t gotten it.  For both of these things…I am truly thankful!

And other than that…well, my life hasn’t involved much other than that for a few days.  But I will leave you with a couple of lighter things…

  • Megan has started smiling and laughing when I come to get her in the morning from her crib.  LOVE that!
  • Erin has somewhere learned to stick up her index finger and say “I know!” when you ask her a question.  Then she answers or does what you ask.  Too cute!
  • And Alex has added a new toy to his list of favorites: cars, push-toys, and a small blue metal bucket.  I have no idea what the appeal is, but it gets played with a lot these days.

Happy Thursday!

How not fun! I’m glad Megan didn’t get it, too…or doesn’t get it!

Where do kids come up with these things?! I could see you doing that with your hand. Did Erin get this from you? It sounds really cute! And, I love it when your baby starts to show that she recognizes you…endearing!

I know the relief when the baby misses out on the sickness.  James and I have had colds all week and I’ve been pleading with God to spare Edison from it.  So far God has been generous and he’s had only the tiniest amount of congestion, not enough to even keep him from breathing easily.  What a relief!

That does not sound like much fun! Glad the worst of it seems to be passed!
