Friday morning

…and I’m dumpy.  Not really sure why.  I’ve been fighting it all week.

I could go through a list of all my complaints, but I suspect that won’t help me get over myself.  Which is what I really need to do, I think.

So I’ve been trying to be more diligent about doing productive things and making sure I spend some time in my bible and giving myself a schedule for the day and such.

But mostly, I am still struggling not to wallow.

I guess it’s just one of those weeks.

Feel free to share any happy Friday thoughts you’ve got…especially if you’ve had a really great week.

And I hope you all have a marvelous weekend!

Let’s turn this comment section into a praise and Thanksgiving fest.  Every time I sit down at the computer, I’m going to come share one with you.

The weather?  Has been beautiful the last couple of days.  Beautiful!  Lower humidity.

And after camp, I’m reminded of how broken we are, yet how loving God is to have provided a rescue plan.

    I’m jumping on Gail’s wagon!

I’m thankful for a loving and godly husband and father. This being Father’s Day weekend, I thought it was a good time to share that. What a diffeence it makes to have someone to share things with!

The weather has been beautiful here too.  I am so thankful for my wonderful hubby and family.  I love being a grandmother and am thankful for my 3 and one on the way grandchildren.

I hope you are feeling better soon.

I am thankful for children’s laughter and yellow flowers and 2 days in a row of chores that have been done without tears and gnashing of teeth.

I am thankful for David Crowder’s music and the way my husband makes me laugh.

I’m thankful for good friends and a hard working husband.  I’m thankful for a role of service and for the blessings of these kids (even though they make me want to pull my hair out).

Are we the same person?  ‘Cuz I’m pretty sure that’s how I’ve been feeling!  Even down to the trying to “not let myself wallow,” “Bible time,” and “making a schedule” to pull myself out.  Sounds like you’re on your way to getting out of your funk :).

And I’m thankful for transparency… for people who aren’t afraid to share their struggles and let me know I’m not alone, but yet seek to rise above and encourage me to do so as well!

I am thankful for kids who are able to sleep through thunderstorms, even if I couldn’t.

I am thankful for this beautiful rainy day.  I am thankful my two grandchildren are getting along today.  Well so far anyway.

I am praising God for his calling on my life and for having a plan and a purpose for me even when I can’t see it.

There are a few things that almost always get me out of a funk: a) time (and sleep), b) spending time with people I love, c) going to church (this last one is new for me, or at least I took several years’ hiatus).
